Disha Rao is a gifted Carnatic Music artist and Veena virtuoso, born into a family of esteemed musicians. Her musical journey began at the tender age of 7, inspired by her grandfather, Bhujang Rao, a renowned violin and JalTarang master, and her father, Prakash Rao, a celebrated vocalist and keyboard artist. Disha's fascination with the Veena led her to pursue it with dedication, completing both her junior and senior exams in Veena by the age of 18. Currently, she is honing her skills under the guidance of Dr. Suma Sudhindra, striving for excellence in Veena.

With over 200 performances across India and the USA, Disha has established herself as a sought-after Veena recitalist. Her passion for sharing her art has led her to mentor over 100 students, including 30+ in the Bay Area, where she has also given numerous successful programs at prestigious venues. Holding a Master's degree in Commerce, Disha has devoted herself full-time to her Veena and music, inspiring a new generation of musicians by mentoring over 30 students in Bay Area. Disha's exceptional talent, dedication, and passion make her a shining star in the world of Carnatic Music, destined to leave a lasting impact on the musical landscape. Notably, she has mastered a unique style of playing modern melodies on the Veena, in addition to her mastery of traditional Carnatic classical music.
